A World for Peace, Justice and Happiness
Celebrating 72 Anniversary

Hiroshima day was observed in SNGK BEd College, Pothencode with the moto,
            WAR NEVER AGAIN!
            NEVER AGAIN WAR!

The aim of the program was to spread the message of "peace" to mark the tragedy of the fatal bombing in 1945. The event was organized in order to sensitize the students about the atomic bomb blast that took place in the Japanese city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The programe started off with a speech delivered by Jesna. Students made some thought provoking anti-nuclear posters with newspaper cuttings and pictures. These made the students to know more about the atomic bombing that took place in Hiroshima, during the second world war and the repercussions it had on the people.
Few students from the class made paper cranes depicting the Japanese symbol of peace and harmony.
Poster making competition was organised for students. All the students made an attempt to showcase their talent. At the end one minute silence was observed. The day reminds all of us our duty to work together in order to spread the message of mutual respect, peace and harmony and saying no to war.
