Education in Indian Society Educated Unemployment- Causes and Remedies        In India, the educated unemployment became the biggest problem and it also faces many challenges in the life of educated people for not getting a proper livelihood. Educated unemployment is unemployment among people with an academic degree. It is due to mismatch between the aspiration of graduates and employment opportunities available to them. The joblessness among the educated ie; matriculates and above is called educated unemployment. Day Celebration at SNGK BEd College, Pothencode 7 August, 2017           Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki: A World for Peace, Justice and Happiness Celebrating 72 Anniversary     Hiroshima day was observed in SNGK BEd College, Pothencode with the moto,              WAR NEVER AGAIN!             NEVER AGAIN WAR !    The aim of the program was to spread the message of "peace" to mark the tragedy of the fatal bombing in 1945 . The  event was organized in order to sensitize the students about the atomic bomb blast that took place in the Japanese city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki .               The programe started off with a speech delivered by Jesna. Students made some thought provoking anti-nuclear posters with newspaper cuttings and pictures. These made the students to know more about the atomic bombing that took place in Hiroshima, during the second world war and the repercussions it had on the people.  F ew students from the class made paper

The Hangwoman                                 -K.R.Meera Introduction            K. R. Meera is an Indian author, who writes in Malayalam. She was born in Sasthamkotta, Kollam district in Kerala. She worked as a journalist in Malayala Manorama but later resigned to concentrate more on writing. She started writing fiction in 2001 and her first short story collection Ormayude Njarambu was published in 2002. Since then she has published five collections of short stories, two novellas, five novels and two children's books. She won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2009 for her short-story, Ave Maria. Her novel Aarachaar (2012) is widely regarded as one of the best literary works produced in Malayalam language. Her next book Mohamanja was published in 2004. It was translated into English by J.  GOAT DAYS                                    -Benyamin Introduction         Benyamin is a famous Indian novelist and short story writer in Malayalam language from Nhettur, Kulanada, near Pandalam of the south Indian state of Kerala. He has lived in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 1992, from the age of twenty, and his works appear regularly in Malayalam publications in Kerala. His orginal name is Benny Daniel and Benyamin is his Pen name.  Benyamin has written 17 books so far, including memoirs and short story collections and the main theme of his novel is Christianity and the Middle East. Benyamin, the author of the humongous bestseller Aadujeevitham (Goat Days) that has gone into its 100th print run in Malayalam.His 2011 novel, Manjaveyil Maranangal, which has sold over 40,000 copies, has now been translated into English as Yellow Lights of Death (Penguin Random House) by Sajeev Kumarapuram. A Fun Filled Day...

Field Trip      As a part of Community Living Camp 'ARAMAM', 2018 one day field trip was organized. At morning 6.45 AM we departed from Pothencode in two bus with 56 members in total( 32 Juniors + 2 teaching staff + 3 non teaching staff+ 21snrs). First spot At 8:40 AM, we reached Thiruparappu Waterfalls located at a distance of about 55 kilometres from Kanyakumari.  The cascading waters of the Thirparappu falls make up for an enchanting sight. This waterfall is a manmade one and falls from a height of 50 feet. The water collects in a quaint pool below which is an ideal place to frolick around, especially for children. The falls are surrounded by thick green foliage and indigenous fauna, which make it a nature lover's paradise. These falls are a unique combination of streams that flow together to form a magnificent waterfall. The containment below is no less than a top-tier waterpark and is perfectly safe too. "ARAMAM" Community Living Camp

Community Living Camp 'ARAMAM' 2018 Prelude        In our fast-paced world of technology, camps expose young people to a different kind of environment a community based atmosphere in which campers learn about living, working and playing together. In addition, campers typically learn a healthy respect for nature. The life skills that many youth experience at camp help them to form thinking patterns that depict the type of adults they will become. Living in a camp prepare youth to be positive contributors to their communities.  The camp provides ample opportunities to fine tune with the interpersonal relationship skills of the campers through the process of group dynamics.       Thus a three day Community Living Camp was organized from 7- 9 February, 2018 as a part of the BEd curriculum comprising batches from 2016-19 at SNGK BEd College. Seminar on Psychological Dimensions and Modern Instructional Strategies in Teaching and Learning         Government College of Teacher Education, Trivandrum organised two day seminar on 'Psychological Dimension and Modern Instructional Strategies in Teaching and Learning' on 20 and 21 February, 2018 at general lecture hall GCTE,  Trivandrum. 'TENTURE' Wall Hanging

Wall Hangin g 'TENTURE'           Wind chime and wall hangings are common things which is used to decorate house. These are significantly beautiful and are very attractive. As a part of SUPW, i have made wall hanging with old, broken,waste things found at home, and have named it ' TENTURE'. Materials Required : 1) Newspapers 2) Cardboard 3) Colors 4) Brush 5) Scissors 6) Gum 7) Needle and thread 8) Broken mirror 9) Laces 10) Ribbon 11) Beads 12) Glittering stones Step by step instructions : Step 1-  Take a few sheets of newspaper and cut it into long strands and roll it into the form of long pipes. Then paste these strands on cardboard. Thus for one cardboard 23 roll is required.                                                                                        Step 2- After pasting the paper roll on to the cardboard cut of the extra pieces of the paper. Then mix up the colour with fevicol to get a shining effect and the
