Seminar on Psychological Dimensions and Modern Instructional Strategies in Teaching and Learning


       Government College of Teacher Education, Trivandrum organised two day seminar on 'Psychological Dimension and Modern Instructional Strategies in Teaching and Learning' on 20 and 21 February, 2018 at general lecture hall GCTE,  Trivandrum. The seminar was conducted by Department of Geography.

The program was organised by Dr. K Sivarajan on 20 February. On the first day two sessions were held. First one was by Dr. K Sivarajan, on the topic TPACK and its effect on education. He also dealt with qualities of a good teacher and his class was very innovative.The second session was handled by Shri Sunil Kumar P, Principal Idukki HS. The topic was, the objective of learning and about the issue based curriculum system and the new innovations made in the field of education.
 
  On the second day, the session started with the first class by Dr.G Porgio. He dealt with the topic 'Psychological Dimensions of Teaching and Learning' where he talked about life as a process and about different aspects of teachers perceptions. The fourth session was handled by Ms. Sandhya on, Action Research. The last session of the seminar was dealt by Dr. A Veliappan on 'Teaching Strategies in Modern Era' where he talked about the qualities of good teacher and also about the paradigm shift of education system and modern strategies in teaching and learning in education.
   Thus the seminar was very fruitful and stages like these gave students platform to grow and broaden their knowledge. The two days where thus, interesting, innovative and interactive.

Community Living Camp 'ARAMAM' 2018 Prelude        In our fast-paced world of technology, camps expose young people to a different kind of environment a community based atmosphere in which campers learn about living, working and playing together. In addition, campers typically learn a healthy respect for nature. The life skills that many youth experience at camp help them to form thinking patterns that depict the type of adults they will become.
