Yoga, Physical and Health Education 

    As a part of B.Ed curriculum, a four day yoga, physical education and health education classes was conducted at SNGK B.Ed college Pothencode under the guidance of Hari sir, lecturer in Physical Education.
The first three days, the classes focused mainly on physical and health education. Classes started from morning 10 AM to 12 PM. Morning theory class was given which was followed by physical practices at afternoon on the college terrace. Hari sir taught us how to deal with students during physical education hour in school and made us do different types of free hand exercises.

Yoga Class- 






   On the last day yoga class was conducted. Yoga class began at 10 AM. Sir demonstrated the yoga postures which we followed. He told us the importance of yoga in humans life and also about its benefits and made us understood the essence of yoga. He taught different yoga poses starting with Surya Namskaram, followed by Siddhasana, Swastikasana, Dayana Muktasana, Vajrasana, Sarvangasana, Bhujangasana, Salabhasana, Dhanurasana, Makasama etc. Meditation class was also given. Thus yoga class really took us to another level and it was a very good experience.
